Protector / UV [BASE] is a filter that serves as the BASE of the Layer-X system.
In Layer-X, PLUS filters such as ND, CPL, OPF, and CDF are stacked on top of the BASE filter.
For this reason, the BASE filter must have minimal impact on image rendering and maintain optical stability when filters are layered.
Protector / UV [BASE] uses high-transparency Clear Glass, with NanoAR UV Coating for ultra-low reflection and Hydro Shield Coating for water repellency applied to both sides.
These coatings suppress unwanted reflections and contrast loss, even in backlit or high-contrast scenes.
UV reduction also helps minimize subtle contrast degradation and highlight haze that cannot be fully controlled by the camera or lens alone.
It provides essential protection while serving as a stable foundation for stacking PLUS filters.
