In our daily lives, the casual gestures and flicks of light can suddenly move our hearts.
@mikkk_ko takes pictures when she wants to gently preserve the "atmosphere of the here and now."
By freely moving between the two textures of digital and film, what is engraved in the photographs is a soft moment where memories and emotions overlap.
"I may be in love with photography," says Kawai Miki ( @mikkk_ko ), and we invite you to take a look at her gaze and words.
Q. When taking photos of your children or family, what are the moments that you want to keep for later?
I press the shutter at the moment I feel like capturing the atmosphere I sense only in that moment, in casual expressions, gestures, and scenery.
The most exciting moments are when there is nothing special, just simple and ordinary.
Q. How do you use film and digital?
I feel that light makes a photograph several times more attractive. Just having light there makes the subject look even more beautiful.
When shooting digitally, I often use it outdoors when I want to capture the light to my liking.
Film is often used for areas where the image is not too clear, but is slightly blurred, fuzzy, or rough, and I want to capture or preserve those moments. So when I can capture the flow of tears or pinpoint the exact moment I felt, I feel a sense of accomplishment and elation.
Q. What emotions come up when you look back at the photos you've taken?
At first, it felt like a tool to trace memories. The more I look back and think, "I liked this kind of atmosphere at that time," or "I like this kind of photo now," the more memories come back to me, and they never get buried.
As I continue taking photos for years and years, the range of scenery I see changes and my emotions change along with the photos, but I feel like a part of me that loves this place remains unchanged.
Q. Please tell us about any cameras or lenses that you frequently use.
My favorite camera is the GR3. I attach the filter to this camera with an adapter. It instantly captures the moment I want to take a photo, and it's the best feeling to use.
I use a PENTAX MEsuper, Canon Autoboy MINI T, and Konica C35 film cameras depending on my mood. I really like Carl Zeiss lenses.
Q. Please tell us if you have noticed any changes after using TOKYO GRAPHER filters.
TOKYO GRAPHER filters come in a variety of types and are great for customizing to suit your tastes.
I use the #CDF-L in particular, and it goes really well with my GR3 settings. It has a matte, analog feel, and I especially love the way the light bleeds through it. It's a product I can't live without.
Q. What kind of expression do you feel you can bring out in your photos by using filters?
What struck me most about the look of the photograph was the diffusion of light and the film-like texture.
The slight blurring and intensity of the light makes it stand out and create an impressive effect.
My preferred film is the CineStill 800T, and the photos it produces are just as atmospheric.
Q: What effect does taking photographs have on your life and your mood?
My life has become richer. I feel like I have found some time for myself amidst the busyness and hustle and bustle of my daily life.
When I see the way they look at people or the everyday scenery, it really makes my heart flutter.
When I think about it, I realize that there are other times besides love that can make your heart flutter, and maybe that's why I'm in love with photography.

CDF (Cinematic Diffusion Filter) is a filter for camera lenses that allows you to take high quality photos and videos with a cinematic atmosphere by creating a matte, analog texture and impressive light.
The L and S filters differ in their light diffusing power, with the L filter producing a stronger and more impressive light.
They are easy to use in any situation for both photography and video, and they are also water and oil repellent, so they can be used regularly as a substitute for protective filters.
