Layer-X Filter Mount System

No matter how advanced cameras become, there are still human sensations that never appear exactly as they are in a photograph. Even as resolution increases, colors become more accurate, and resistance to backlight improves, the subtle presence of wind on the skin, the density of the air, and the faint shimmer of light beyond the frame remain beyond what a camera can capture.

To bring even a trace of those delicate nuances into an image, we layer various optical filters—adding what digital tools cannot reproduce. Colors may shift with the angle of light, light may gently slip in from outside the frame, and highlights may bloom softly.

These small optical changes become the key to preserving the feeling of that moment in photographs and videos.

The Layer-X System is a hybrid lens filter system that combines a screw-in BASE with magnetically layered PLUS filters.
BASE filters such as Protectors, CDF, and OPF remain on the front of the lens as a constant reference for light.
PLUS filters—ND, CPL, or cross—are added according to the situation at hand.
By separating what stays on the lens from what is chosen in the moment, the system naturally expands the freedom of how you engage with photography.

The starting point for layering light

BASE Filter

Layer-X BASE Filter is an optical filter that attaches to the front of the lens using a standard screw-in mount.
The front surface is equipped with both a built-in magnetic structure and a threaded mount, allowing PLUS filters such as ND, CPL, or cross filters to be layered when needed.
In addition to magnetic PLUS filters, standard lens caps and conventional screw-in filters can also be attached, so the handling remains familiar in everyday use.
The BASE filter blends naturally into daily shooting and serves as the starting point of the Layer-X system, expanding how light can be handled to suit different shooting styles.
