The Layer-X System is a hybrid lens filter system that combines a screw-in BASE with magnetically layered PLUS filters.
BASE filters such as Protectors, CDF, and OPF remain on the front of the lens as a constant reference for light.
PLUS filters—ND, CPL, or cross—are added according to the situation at hand.
By separating what stays on the lens from what is chosen in the moment, the system naturally expands the freedom of how you engage with photography.

Layer-X BASE

The Layer-X BASE Filter is an optical filter that screws onto the front of the lens.
A built-in magnetic structure on the front allows ND, CPL, and cross PLUS filters to be layered as needed.

Standard lens caps can be attached without issue, and it handles like a conventional filter.
BASE serves as the starting point of the Layer-X system, expanding how light can be handled to suit different shooting styles.

The Layer-X PLUS Filter is an optical filter that attaches magnetically to the front of the Layer-X BASE, adding optical effects to your images.
Cross, ND, and CPL filters can be layered easily whenever they are needed, expanding creative possibilities during shooting.

Even when a PLUS Filter is added, the increase in thickness is just 3.4mm.
It can be used with wide-angle lenses equivalent to 24mm without noticeable vignetting at the edges of the frame.
A magnet is also built into the front, allowing multiple PLUS filters to be stacked together for easy storage and transport.
