"It's like being in a dream—when I see a fleeting moment of beauty in a flower, I can't help but press the shutter."
@m__fleur captures a quiet and delicate world through her lens.
She pays close attention to subtle changes in everyday life and the shifting light of the seasons, delivering floral images that gently touch the hearts of those who view them.
In this interview, we spoke with her about the emotions behind her photography, how it has changed her perspective on the world, and the unique atmosphere she seeks to express—soft, subdued, and quietly profound.
Q.How do you feel when you're taking photos?
Taking photos brings a sense of peace to my heart. I often feel a strong urge to preserve the beautiful moments unfolding before me. Most of my work focuses on flowers—their delicate beauty captivates me every time, and I find myself pressing the shutter as if drifting through a dream.
Q.Has photography changed how you see everyday life?
I've become more aware of the beauty hidden in ordinary moments—the subtle shifts in light and the quiet rhythm of the seasons. Things I might have overlooked in the past now move me deeply, and I find everyday life to be far richer and more meaningful.
Q.Do you have any favorite places or times of day to shoot?
I’m drawn to places where seasonal flowers bloom—like parks and gardens. I love shooting in the soft morning light or the warm glow of dusk. Even on cloudy days, I enjoy the calm tones that emerge, and often find myself photographing during those moments too.
Q.What camera and lens do you currently use?
My current camera is the SONY α7R V, and my main lens is the FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II.
Q.What's your favorite TOKYO GRAPHER filter, and how does it affect your photography?
My favorite is the OPF 480-L.
It brings out greens and blues in a more vivid, almost magical way.
The rendering feels slightly softer, wrapped in a gentle atmosphere—which I find incredibly fitting for my style.
TOKYO GRAPHER filters have become an essential part of my photographic expression.
Q.What makes your photography feel uniquely yours?
I would describe it as a soft, muted, and quietly emotional world. I try to capture the fleeting beauty of flowers, the life force they hold within, and the feeling of floating between reality and a dreamlike space.
Q.Where can people follow your work or learn more about your activities?
I share my work on Instagram: @m__fleur Each photo is accompanied by carefully chosen words in Japanese, so I hope you'll take a moment to experience both the imagery and the writing.

The "480" in OPF 480-L stands for the wavelength of light, 480 nanometers, which makes it possible to take clear pictures with vivid blue color.
L (light) represents the amount of light diffused by the special glass. The combination of these two elements enables new expressions that could not be achieved before.
