Optical Preset Filter

OPF (Optical Preset Filter) is an optical camera lens filter created to layer into photographs the sensations we perceive with our senses—
the glare of light a camera cannot fully capture, the changing angle and intensity of light shaped by time and season,
and the color and temperature of the air that surrounds a scene.

It combines the gentle softness of light found in film photography with the clarity and resolution unique to digital imaging.
The result is depth and aftertaste that cannot be reproduced through digital processing alone.

Diffusion Glass

Diffusion Glass is an optical glass designed to subtly diffuse light, creating a natural sense of spread and lingering afterglow.
To serve as a foundation for today’s high-resolution cameras and lenses, its surface accuracy is refined to the extreme, allowing both clarity and softness to coexist.
Light spreads gently through space without excessive bloom, retaining its contours and definition.
The expressive qualities of OPF and CDF are supported by the inherent characteristics of this glass.

SUPER SLIM FRAME combines ease of use and thinness

Using a very thin frame with a thickness of 5.7mm, it is possible to stack filters even when using a wide-angle lens. (Some super wide-angle lenses cannot be stacked.)

Normally, thin-frame filters have a shortcoming in that the groove on the front of the filter is shallow, making it easy for the filter cap to come off.

Reliable repair service

In order to allow OPF/CDF users to use the product for a longer period of time, if the filter is damaged, replacement of the glass will cost approximately 25% of the product price, and replacement of both the glass and filter frame will cost approximately 25% of the product price. This is a repair/replacement service at a discounted rate of approximately 50%.

In scenes with strong light sources, the contours of the light are softened, creating a glare ghost.
If you don't want the ghost to appear, you can suppress it by slightly shifting the direction of the light.

OPF Color Features

Each OPF series emphasizes different wavelengths of light.
480 strengthens wavelengths (colors) around 480nm (blue), 550 uses 550nm (blue/yellow), and 650 strengthens wavelengths (colors) around 650nm (yellow/red) to create deep colors and light that cannot be obtained by changing the color temperature. The color changes depending on the entrance angle.

OPF 480-S / L strengthens the wavelength of light around 480nm, and emphasizes the refreshing blueness with less yellowness.
